IA students chosen to participate in the Southwest Regional Globe Science Fair

Globe Science Fair-  Our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students have been given the opportunity to participate in the Southwest Regional Globe Science Fair.  Globe is a worldwide science and education program that helps students study and explore aspects of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. There are Globe data collection sites all over the world and IA students will be competing with students from Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Utah in the Regional Science Fair and could possibly go onto the Globe National Science Fair.

Students have been working on their research in class for the past few weeks and will continue to work on it until they present their research at the Innovation Academy.  From these presentations the group that fits the Globe requirements for the science fair the best will be chosen to go on to the Regional Science Fair in Houston on May 20-21. This two-day event will include judging of the science fair entries, a tour of Johnson Space Center, and networking opportunities for participants.Global Program
